FAQ
Common questions.
How does a remote studio work?
Ocean Avenue Studios operates as a remote-first production studio by design — not as a workaround. Projects are managed through a streamlined digital workflow with structured file delivery, real-time communication, and clear feedback rounds. You receive the same caliber of production, mixing, and mastering you'd expect from a world-class facility, delivered with the efficiency and focus that remote collaboration makes possible.
Who does Ocean Avenue Studios work with?
We work with serious artists at every stage — from independent artists preparing a debut single to established acts and labels managing full album campaigns. We also take on select commercial, podcast, and media audio projects. What matters most is the fit: a clear vision, a commitment to quality, and a willingness to invest in the work.
Do you work with independent or emerging artists?
Yes — and we take those projects just as seriously. If you're committed to your craft and ready to release work at a professional standard, we can likely find the right scope for your project. The quality stays the same whether the project is a focused single or a full album. We'll recommend an engagement that matches your goals and where you are in your release plan.
Can mixing, mastering, and production be done remotely?
The majority of professional mixing, mastering, and production in the industry today happens remotely. The quality of the result depends on the skill of the engineer, the accuracy of the monitoring environment, and the clarity of the creative process — all of which are central to how we work.
What services do you offer?
Core services include songwriting, music production, mixing, and mastering. We also offer vocal tuning, voice-over production, post-production audio, and video production. Every service is built to deliver polished, release-ready results — whether the project is a single track or a full campaign.
What happens after I submit a project inquiry?
We review every brief carefully and respond within one to two business days. If the project is a strong fit, we'll schedule a brief discovery call to align on creative direction, scope, and timeline before moving forward with a proposal.
What should I include in my inquiry?
Share any demos, rough recordings, reference tracks, or links to your released music. The more context you provide about your vision, genre, influences, and goals, the better we can evaluate the fit and come prepared to a productive first conversation.
How long does a typical project take?
It depends on the scope. A focused mix or master can turn around in a matter of days. A full production project might span several weeks. We provide a clear timeline estimate during the discovery phase so expectations are aligned from the start.
